Internship at CSSD

Responsibilities of an intern at CSSD may include: 

  • Increase public awareness of CSSD's mission and projects.

  • Develop and improve reporting systems, organizational charts, and data collection tools for increased program efficiency.

  • Develop fundraising programs and provide assistance with grant writing, transparency, and accountability.

  • Increase the quality and effectiveness of CSSD's services through the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems.

  • Shadow and assist Executive Director with daily tasks as needed.

  • Conduct regular English proficiency workshops.

 

The following qualifications are required: 

  • English fluency and literacy

  • Bachelors degree in a related field (such as business, management, social development, or public health)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

 

Recommended skills include: 

  • Volunteer experience

  • Proposal writing experience

  • Information Technology skills and related fields

  • Experience with financial systems, accounting, or related fields

  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation or related fields

  • Tutoring or teaching experience

  • Proficiency in Khmer

 

Travel and visa expenses are the responsibility of the intern. If you choose to reside in the CSSD office during your stay, the costs of accommodation and one meal per week day will be covered. We highly recommend purchasing travel and liability insurance for your stay. 

Interns at CSSD gain valuable, hands-on experience in NGO development while working to improve the lives of marginalized populations in Phnom Penh. Our internship positions are competitive and applications are reviewed every month. Interns may choose the time and duration of their stay, but must commit a minimum of twelve weeks in order to make a significant contribution to our programs.
